Join us for an MPA treasure hunt at Dalebrook on Saturday 30 July 2022

Come and celebrate MPA Day with us and discover the natural treasures of Dalebrook.

It's almost MPA Day - a day that we can all celebrate South Africa's 42 Marine Protected Areas! These special sites, chosen for their unique biodiversity, heritage significance and importance to maintaining the biosphere are scattered along our coastline, and we'd like you to join us in exploring them!

We'd love you to join us on Saturday 30 July 2022, from 10h00 to 11h30 at Dalebrook Tidal Pool, part of the Table Mountain National Park MPA. Bring the family for a fun morning of ocean adventures and enjoy a rocky shore treasure hunt with expert teams from the Two Oceans Aquarium, I AM WATER, SOSF Shark Education Centre, and OceanHub Africa. Bring your camera and join us in finding as many of Dalebrook's iconic species as you can.

MPAs have a direct impact on human lives, creating work and recreational opportunities, preserving natural heritage, and allowing the rejuvenation of many species that are used commercially elsewhere. If you live near the coast, you likely live near to one of these crucial areas, and you can learn all about them at this amazing, interactive website.
