What is Marine Marvels?

Marine Marvels is designed to “roll back the blue blanket” and reveal the extraordinary world of marine life. You’ll gain the knowledge and skills to identify common sea creatures in your local rockpools, understand how animals adapt to their environments, and learn how ecosystems and organisms are connected within the vast marine system. This course is a fun and educational adventure that families can enjoy together!

Who can join?

This course is open to anyone, anywhere in the world. The content is suitable for adults and teenagers, and no prior knowledge of marine life is needed.

What will you learn?

By enrolling in the Marine Marvels course, you’ll broaden your understanding of the fascinating marine animals living along rocky and sandy shores. Meet ocean giants and favourites, including fish, sharks, turtles, penguins, and whales. Explore the threats faced by our ocean and why conservation is so vital. Discover the conservation work led by the Two Oceans Aquarium and how you can play a part.

All course material is hosted online on Thinkific, with supporting resources and session recordings made available for easy access.

Course details

The Marine Marvels course is an online, self-paced course that consists of four sessions. The fee for the course is R650 per person, and to apply, email training@aquariumfoundation.org.za. A member of our education team will share payment and additional details.
