Grade 8 & 9 Introduction to Marine Science

The Introduction to Marine Science course is the first step before students dive into the subject of Marine Sciences. Students will become familiar with some of the various topics of Marine Sciences and, hopefully, be encouraged to consider a future in the field.

This academic course introduces students to marine biology, oceanography, and ecology in a fun and exciting way! This includes various practical activities and an excursion to a nearby marine ecosystem. Students will leave the course with the knowledge and ability to make informed decisions about their future subject choices and possible careers in marine sciences.
