Grade 11 & 12 Exploring Oceanography Course

Are you interested in studying oceanography but aren't sure what it is all about? This course introduces you to some basic concepts in ocean study. Why is the ocean blue and salty? Did you know that the ocean floor is not flat but has various topographical features similar to those seen on land – the most extensive mountain range is in the ocean. What causes the circulation of oceans? Is global warming/ climate change affecting the oceans? What happens to pressure as you dive deeper into the ocean?
