A PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience is the ideal way to try out scuba diving for the first time - a short morning training session, followed by a safe, supervised dive inside the Aquarium's I&J Ocean Exhibit, in the care of a trained Dive School team member. Make a memory inside the Two Oceans Aquarium's I&J Ocean Exhibit and explore the world of our rays, musselcrackers, and parrotfish from their underwater point of view. The Discover Scuba Diving Experience is suitable for anyone in reasonable health and with no prior diving or underwater experience.
Your photo package consists of a Dive School team member being assigned to you as your "personal photographer" for your Experience. Photos and video clips will be taken throughout your training and underwater experience, and will be provided to you digitally at the end of your Experience.

How to book:
Email diveschool@aquarium.co.za and a member of our team will contact you to confirm your booking and provide payment information - the total price for a slot for two people will be R4 680 for a Discover Scuba Experience - pricing for Adventure Diving depends on equipment needs, including the free photo package valued at R700.
Diving experiences take place at 09h00, 12h00, or 15h00 daily - please include your preferred time slot and date in your email. Slots are limited, so if your preferred slot is not available, suggested alternatives will be provided.

What is Discover Scuba Diving?
The Discover Scuba Diving Experience is a PADI-certified experience that allows someone who has never scuba-dived before to try diving for the first time in a controlled environment following a short training session. Learn to use scuba diving equipment, take your first breaths beneath the surface, and create lifelong memories. Everything you need for the experience is provided: Your scuba gear, study material, towels, and a hot shower! All you need to bring is a water bottle and your swimming costume.
What is Adventure Diving?
The Two Oceans Aquarium Dive School offers three unique, all-weather scuba diving experiences for qualified scuba divers (Open Water-equivalent or higher). Adventure Diving is an exciting opportunity to dive with ragged-tooth sharks, stingrays, or the diverse inhabitants of the kelp forest, all at the Two Oceans Aquarium!
If you have not dived in six months, a refresher course is required, which is offered right here at the Aquarium.
