Curl up like a catshark - it's the Members-only Winter Family Sleepover!

Get ready to make a splash this winter holiday with our fin-tastic members-only sleepover! Spend the night surrounded by the ocean's most magnificent predators and explore your favourite exhibits under the cover of darkness, whilst discovering why these incredible creatures are fascinating, not frightening. Join us for an unforgettable family adventure on 19-20 or 26-27 July 2025!

Family fun and fascination!

Enjoy an unforgettable shark-themed sleepover! Children will enjoy a hands-on craft activity creating their own shark-themed masterpiece to take home. Enjoy a kids' movie screening with popcorn and hot chocolate, and have your picnic dinner in front of your favourite exhibit.

As the evening winds down, you'll curl up like a catshark amongst the exhibits, drifting off to sleep with the gentle sounds of the ocean surrounding you. The next morning, you'll start your day with a convenient grab-and-go breakfast to fuel your adventures.

• When: Choose from two magical nights:
  • 18h30 on Saturday, 19 July 2025 to 08h00 on Sunday, 20 July 2025
  • 18h30 on Saturday, 26 July 2025 to 08h00 on Sunday, 27 July 2025
• Where: Two Oceans Aquarium - You'll be sleeping in the I&J Ocean exhibit, Save our Seas Foundation Shark Exhibit, and Kelp Forest Exhibit areas
• Who: Active Two Oceans Aquarium members
• What to pack:
  • Picnic dinner for the evening, sleeping bag and mattresses, pillows, blankets etc, toiletries (no shower facilities), change of clothes, snacks, and your own drinking water.
  • You may want to bring earplugs and/or sleeping masks if you are a light sleeper.
  • You may bring electronics, but please be considerate of other guests.
  • NB: No tents or flashlights are allowed.
• Cost: R390 (adults), R375 (children 2 - 17). We regret no under-2s. The cost includes a welcome beverage for all guests, shark-themed kids' craft activities and educational entertainment, plus a grab-and-go breakfast in the morning.
• Parking: Parking is available across the road from the Aquarium in the Portswood Garage. Parking ticket validation will be available for R55 from the Aquarium staff after the sleepover.
• Please note: Children need to be accompanied by an adult. Members can only choose one date to attend. 70 spots available per night.
