Educationals

Tour operators, hotels and other tourism entities are welcome to enquire regarding educationals for their staff. Each educational takes the form of a guided front-of-house tour of the Aquarium, with special emphasis placed on the areas of interest of the attendees.

Responsible tourism

The Aquarium has been awarded Diamond certification for its sustainability efforts by the Heritage Environmental Rating Programme, an ecolabel which recognises the efforts of businesses which are working towards reducing the impact of their operations on the environment. There are only three Diamond status businesses in South Africa.

What your clients can expect from a day at the Two Oceans Aquarium 

The Two Oceans Aquarium is open 365 days a year from 09h30 until 18h00 (weekdays) and 09h00 till 18h00 (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). 

Tickets are valid for the whole day. If your client wishes to return to the Aquarium, they can have their hand stamped at the entry turnstile in the foyer.

Feeding times

Our feeding-time talks are extremely informative and fun. Several such talks take place throughout the day, and they are included in the price of entry:

  • I&J Ocean Exhibit: 12h00 and 14h00 daily
  • Penguin Exhibit: 11h30 and 14h30 daily
  • Predator Exhibit: 15h00 on Sundays

Front-of-house tours

Let your guests explore the wonders of the fascinating world found in the Indian and Atlantic Oceans while being guided by one of the Aquarium’s passionate and knowledgeable guides. Dip into a world of corals, seahorses, penguins, sharks and much more.

Behind-the-scenes tour

Enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Aquarium, where you'll see the inner workings of the building, the roof of some of the exhibits, and more. Learn about the multitude of processes that take place here every day.

Adventure diving

Scuba diving at the Two Oceans Aquarium is bucketlist-worthy! Anyone interested in diving needs to have a minimum Open Water qualification or higher. Your clients can also do a one-day Discover Scuba course with us, which allows one dive on the same day.

Penguin Experience - 25% off for tour operators

Get up close and personal with adorable rockhopper penguins with our awesome interactive Penguin Experience! No more than two people join our bird trainer for an informative, fun and exhilarating face-to-face encounter.

  • Child (8 years and older): R342 (normal rate R455)

R100 of the fee is donated to penguin conservation.

Ocean Experience - 25% off for tour operators

The Ocean Experience is a unique opportunity to get a lot closer and a bit more personal with the animals of the I&J Ocean Exhibit. Engage with the friendly rescue turtles and get a privileged look (with mask and snorkel) at the beautiful stingrays, musselcracker, guitarfish and the nearly 200 other fish swimming around this large-scale exhibit.
