Thank you everyone for a successful After Dark series

After two previous sold-out runs, After Dark returned to the Two Oceans Aquarium in 2023! Together with entertainment website Texx and the City, we hosted three amazing live concerts, featuring some of Cape Town's finest bands, ISO, Yndian Mynah, Van Der Aven, Retro Dizzy, MaxX & Love, and Orah & The Kites.

The fascinating I&J Oceans Exhibit played host to three sold-out crowds over three nights in June, July, and August. The popular exhibit was transformed into a cosy, lounge-style setting where our audiences were able to enjoy two bands each night, as well as the beautiful marine life at the Aquarium.

About the resurgence of After Dark, Texx and the City’s Founder & Editor Tecla Ciolfi says, “The Two Oceans Aquarium is one of my favourite places in the world, so to have the honour to return to do this event series post-Covid is incredibly exciting for me".

We would like to extend a huge word of thanks to Suncamino, who provided an amazing bar and saw to it that our guests were treated to delicious refreshments throughout the series, and Toms, who ensured that our sound and musical instruments were at the highest level. Without these outstanding partners, After Dark would not have been the success that it was. 

We'd also like to thank our incredible MCs, Mark Fitzgibbon and Majozi for both doing outstanding jobs on their respective nights!
