Learners explore our exciting, informative, beautiful exhibits and more than 3 000 fascinating creatures that inhabit the Two Oceans Aquarium. This is integrated with a carefully designed curriculum delivered by our well-qualified and experienced educators. Every lesson promises excitement and memorable teachings.

Discovery Centre

The Discovery Centre classrooms at the Two Oceans Aquarium are places of exploration and learning. School groups visiting the Aquarium spend time in our Discovery Centres, learning about various ocean-related topics. Qualified teachers specialising in ocean education teach children and adults of various ages.

Each of our Discovery Centres is equipped with a wide range of stimulating and interactive educational aids, from mini, living ecosystems in small exhibits on each desk to electronic whiteboards, digital microscopes, and dissection equipment. Every lesson promises excitement and memorable teachings.

Early Childhood Development

The I&J Children’s Play Centre at the Two Oceans Aquarium is a place of entertainment and ocean education for young minds. Developed by a trained team of Early Childhood Development educators, themed puppet shows are on offer, each with a specific environmental message that teaches children about nature and our impact on the environment. Our Puppet Stories are also available as take-home children’s storybooks and activities!
