Grade 10 to 12 Rocky Shore Ecology Course

Come and explore the rocky shore ecosystems of the Cape Peninsula with us. We will learn about tides and how animals and seaweeds respond to the abiotic challenges of this environment by looking at adaptations and zonation.

The course will be mainly aquarium based, using a hands-on exploration of live invertebrates and seaweeds to introduce you to our amazing rock pools, followed by a field trip to a nearby rocky shore ecosystem on one of the days.

This course is ideal for avid rock pool explorers and anyone interested in learning more about this challenging environment.
