Jellyfish are super efficient at drifting the ocean, but so are discarded plastic bags. How does this efficiency help jellies to survive, and why does this cause other animals to confuse plastic for jellies?

We asked Two Oceans Aquarium jellyfish expert Krish Lewis to explain for Plastic Free July.

Every year, hundreds of stranded turtle hatchlings wash up on the South African coast, and we are lucky enough to be able to rescue a few of them each year. Even though they are just a few weeks old at most, we find that many of these turtles have eaten marine plastic litter - causing a variety of serious health concerns. Let's not make life harder for them, please.

Please consider your relationship with single-use plastic this Plastic Free July - there is no better time to take action than right now.
