As ever, the Penguin Promises Waddle for a Week experience wouldn’t be possible without the ever-generous accommodation sponsorships from the venues along the route. For #Waddle2017, we'll catch our Zs at the following fine establishments.

Saxon Lodge, Gansbaai

This is where we spend the night before the big depature from Gansbaai. We connect, we eat, we sleep without sore feet for the last time ... One of the best views around, this will be the third year that the Waddle is hosted at Saxon Lodge

Stanford Hills, Stanford

The gorgeous old farmhouses at Stanford Hills are spacious, beautifully decorated and extermely comfortable. We can't wait for the great networking dinner before heading to bed. We'll be sleeping here for the third year in a row.

The Windsor Hotel, Hermanus

The Windsor Hotel has been with us every step of the way - all seven years of the Penguin Promises Waddle for a Week. You don't get any closer to Hermanus' famous coastline than this classy establishment and staff always see us off the next morning with so much enthusiasm. Thank you!

The Grail Centre, Kleinmond

Like a nature reserve in the middle of the town, the Grail Centre in Kleinmond provides peace and quiet and time for reflection as the difficult mid-point of the Waddle hits. #Waddle2017 will be the fifth year that the Grail Centre hosts tired legs, feet and minds.

Manor on the Bay, Gordon’s Bay

Talk about a luxury bomb! So near the end, the fifth night of the Waddle usually means we're beyond "exhausted" and can really do with some luxe lounging. So we're doubly chuffed that Manor on the Bay is hosting us for the second year in a row.

The Muize, Muizenberg

Last year the Waddlers split up for the final night in Muizenberg, but this time we’ll all be staying together at the Muize, which has conveniently moved to a larger premises. This is the second year that the Muize shows its support for the Waddle.

Boulders Beach Lodge, Simon's Town

We stay right where we are on the final day of the Waddle for a night as close to the penguins as possible. There are few better settings than Boulders Beach Lodge for a surreal night of laughter, tears and reflection.
