On 20 August 2018, the Two Oceans Aquarium was called to help rescue three Cape fur seals. They became trapped in the nearby Robinson Drydock, in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, when the water was drained. Ongoing work on the ships in the dock was very loud and the animals were visibly scared and unable to escape - so we had to be extra cautious. This is how we freed them...

Thanks Transnet for notifying us of the situation and supporting the rescue effort. Thanks also to the crane team of Tandem Cranes for aiding in the rescue.
