PLEASE NOTE: The Smart Living Challenge Zone is no longer on display at the Two Oceans Aquarium. You can learn more about how you can live sustainably here, and learn more about the City of Cape Town's sustainability initiatives here.
Last month, to help launch the Two Oceans Aquarium's new Smart Living Challenge Zone, an interactive digital learning/play zone that was developed in collaboration with the City Of Cape Town, we organised a Twitter chat with co-hosts the WWF South Africa, GreenPop and Rethink the Bag.
We asked our panel and the wider Twittersphere questions about eco-friendly living centered around water, waste, energy and biodiversty, with the aim of generating new and imaginative ideas that you, our audience, could implement at home in order to have a lighter, friendlier footprint.
The key take out from the day was this: smart living starts at home.
How many of these smart-living tactics for water and waste management have you, or will you, employ at home?
