We've rounded up some of our favourite Instagram posts from visitors who've taken the plunge with us.
Jess Daley, pictured above, is a writer for Cape Town Etc. As an PADI Advanced Open Water diver, she was able to not only dive with the ragged-tooth sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit, but also to weave in and out of the kelp fronds of the Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit.
A squadron of Rockhopper penguins passes over me inside the kelp tank at the @2oceansaquarium. A wonderful experience to dive in the great facility. Seeing the smiles of all the curious children through the tank window was delightful. If you have a moment this aquarium really showcases the South African coastline beautifully. #southafrica #capetown #aquarium #penguin
When you do dive in the Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit, like Animal Ocean’s Steven Benjamin did, you may be lucky enough to float around while the northern rockhoppers come in for their daily dip. Affectionately known as “underwater bullets”, you’ll be blown away by how speedy these hopping seabirds are in the water.
Look, we want you to have fun, so if rock-paper-scissors is your thing, go for it!
Yoshi the loggerhead turtle will adjudicate.
Every once in a while, it's great to swim out of your comfort zone. Just ask these BMXers who traded their wheels for fins …
Or follow this blogger’s brave example and go on a Discover Scuba Course - it takes a morning, is valid for a day and includes the shark dive - first. Through us, you can also earn an internationally recognised PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced Open Water or a PADI refresher course. Our resident divemaster Iain Robertson will help you feel comfortable in the water, every step of the way.

Step into another world entirely.
And see things in an entirely different way.
The Cape Yellowtail (Seriola lalandi) swirling in the Two Oceans Aquarium showing the characteristic bright golden caudal fin. When I'm diving, my heart skips a beat and adrenalin shoots through my body when I see huge shoals of this species. A prized fishing fish and one of the few that are considered "Green". The stocks are doing well and being pelagic with a wide ranging distribution and fast growth rate, they handle fishing pressure better than most South African fish species. They are very curious and often approach divers and swim in tight circles for a few moments. @2oceansaquarium @meetsouthafrica #yellowtail
You’ll have a great time, we promise.
