Photos: Releasing an eagle ray and collecting some sole

Stuart Dickinson

The Aquarium’s curatorial team ventured out to False Bay on Tuesday, April 12 2011 to release one of the baby eagle rays discovered in March in the I&J Predator Exhibit. During their excursion, they also managed to pick up another little treasure – a South African lemon sole (Solea fulvomarginata).

Aquarium volunteer Rasheeda Sarguro went along for the journey, and managed to snap a few pictures of the release of the ray and the collection of the sole.

Nick of the curatorial team gently releases the baby eagle ray into the ocean.
