Summer is coming – can you feel it? We’re in a celebratory mood already, and we’ve lined up a host of activities for kids of all ages. Glitter tattoos, discounted tickets and membership, relaxing rugby watching, penguins, crafts and diving are just some of your oceanic options.

Hot tips

Buy your tickets or annual membership online – you’ll skip the ticket office queue, giving you more time with the fish, and you’ll also enjoy a discount on the ticket office price.

Shine on

We will have stations offering glitter tattoos to all our sea fans at the Aquarium.

You’ll pay R20 per tattoo and receive a whole day of showing off.

Since it’s African Penguin Awareness Day on 8 October 2011, we’re celebrating all things penguin at our arts and crafts tables in October.

Get into the rugga spirit with special offers and competitions at Shoreline Cafe’s SeaFan Zone during the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

You can watch all the games while your children play at the V&A Waterfront’s only dedicated children’s play area.

Mascot magic

Catch our beloved mascots Terminator the Seal and Silver the Shark with the Smurfs from 3 to 6 October between 11h00 and 13h00 at the V&A’s Barrow Court (under the NuMetro cinemas) for a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity.

Meet a raggie face to face

October is a good month to come and dive with our ragged-tooth sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit; we are relatively quiet and it’s just before the big season boom happens.

Serenity, sharks and sea ... Shore sounds good to us.
