The FET Young Biologist Volunteer Course is offered by our Marine Sciences Academy for Grade 10, 11 and 12 learners who would like to learn more about marine animals, plants and ecosystems, and who would like to volunteer at the Two Oceans Aquarium to help us spread our environmental and sustainability message to our visitors.

Successful applicants will spend four days at the Two Oceans Aquarium covering theory vital for volunteering, initially as presenters at our Touch Pool & Microscope exhibits.

Upon the completion of the programme, the new candidates have the option of becoming volunteers at the Two Oceans Aquarium. Youth volunteers at the Aquarium are expected to maintain a minimum level of volunteer activity to keep their active status - three shifts of 4.5 hours during each school holiday period as a minimum.

Want to learn more about volunteering at the Aquarium as an adult, or other opportunities available after the completion of the FET Young Biologist Volunteer Course?
