From the Two Oceans Aquarium Flickr group: Wise old West Coast rock lobster

Two Oceans Aquarium

The West Coast rock lobsters in the Aquarium are up 30 years old! The chances of you seeing crayfish this size in the ocean these days are minimal. Rock lobsters grow very slowly and can live to the ripe old age of 50 years or so. Photo courtesy philrickerby.

Been to the Aquarium lately? We’d love to see what you saw! If you have images that you’d like to share with us, join the Two Oceans Aquarium Flickr group and you could see your picture on our blog!
