This juvenile ray is clearly not camera-shy – popping out of the water, the shape of the mouth makes it appear as if it’s smiling for the camera.
Some rays, like some sharks, are known to breach the water in the wild. However, here at the Two Oceans Aquarium, our rays prefer to simply peep above the surface and say hello!
