Photos: Dolphins, sunfish and more spotted on Ocean Adventurer

Ingrid Sinclair

The crew aboard Ocean Adventurer, Cape Town’s marine eco-tour that departs from the V&A Waterfront, have been delighted to show off the Cape’s ocean animals to their visitors. Says David de Villiers: “Sightings have been awesome. Almost every day we’ve seen dusky and heaviside dolphins. The birdlife has also been great, with daily African penguin sightings. We’ve even seen a few Arctic terns, which is exciting.”

Check out these pics of a recent trip, during which the crew even got close to ocean sunfish.

A sunfish says hello. You may have read about the Aquarium’s work with stranded ocean sunfish – we are so happy (and fortunate) to see these gentle giants in the wild.

And those on the Ocean Adventurer have the perfect vantage point.
