Appearance and lifestyle:

Fairy penguins (Eudyptula minor minor) also known as little penguins, and other little penguin subspecies, are the smallest penguins on the planet and the only ones with blue eyes and feathers, they can grow to 30 cm tall. These little penguins are in the water for up to 18 hours daily.

Habitat:

They inhabit the western and southeastern coasts of the southern island of New Zealand.

Diet:

Fairy penguins eat crustaceans, squid and small fish.

Threats:

Some of the threats faced by fairy penguin's include pollution, climate change, habitat loss etc.
