Appearance and lifestyle:

Dusky cherubs (Centropyge multispinis) have an oval-shaped dark blue to purple body with small mouths, and some have rare colour variations of yellow-orange markings on the body that have been recorded. They can grow up to 10cm, and these fish are very approachable underwater.

Habitat:

The dusky cherub inhabits rubble bottoms near coral reefs at depths from 1 to 40 m. It is also found around corals in lagoons and on outer reefs.

Diet:

It feeds in small groups mainly on algae.

Threats:

They are not threatened, but some threats they face are pollution, climate change etc.
