Apply by | Posted on

Do you love the ocean? Are you excited by the challenge of turning data, stories, and social insights into digital content that actually matters? Are you as comfortable analysing performance metrics and planning a content calendar as you are writing a sharp blog post or creating a simple visual for social media? Then this might be the job for you.

The Two Oceans Aquarium is looking for a Content Coordinator to join our Marketing & Communications team. The ideal candidate has strong digital communication skills, a solid grasp of analytics and audience behaviour, excellent writing fundamentals, a keen interest in environmental and ocean issues, and confidence managing and planning content across multiple digital channels. You should be curious, adaptable, eager to learn, and motivated to help amplify the work of both the Aquarium and its non-profit Foundation.

This role focuses primarily on social media content planning and publishing, long- and short-form copywriting for online platforms, visual content creation, community management, newsletter and website content, and using data to guide decisions. You’ll work closely with other content creators and teams across the Aquarium to surface stories, track performance, refine digital outputs, and contribute to broader marketing goals. Passion, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities are essential.

  • Experience in content creation in the form of short and long-form copywriting and visual media.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and curiosity.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team.

  • Engaging and serving the online community through social community management, online newsletters, and ad hoc opportunities.
  • Working with the Marketing team to develop and implement exciting and engaging campaigns.
  • Working with staff from other departments to cover the stories and information from all aspects of our work, including that of our Foundation.
