Marketing: Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator

The Two Oceans Aquarium is seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing & Communications Team to oversee our digital content creators, manage and identify audiovisual assets and needs, and facilitate the creation or content for both social media and other platforms in-line with the Aquarium and our non-profit Foundation’s strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is an excellent planner with a diverse skillset to facilitate and contribute to a broad range of marketing activities, particularly digital content creation, social media management, advertising, digital asset management and conceptualizing of creative campaigns. A strong background in digital marketing is essential, as well as project management skills in this space.

Essential requirements are:

  • Five years of relevant experience and/or a related qualification in media, marketing, project management, communications, English or a related creative field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability in English.
  • Full computer literacy, use of MS Office, and comfort with online tools such as CMSs, CRMs, social media management tools, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Experience in content creation in the form of short and long-form copywriting, and visual media, email marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Responsibility, creativity, flexibility, and curiosity.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team.
  • Loving animals, the ocean and the environment are a bonus.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and contributing to the creation of a comprehensive content calendar for the Aquarium and Foundation.
  • Ensuring that key processes, such as approvals, reviews, proofreading, adherence to brand guidelines are followed by content creators.
  • Maintains and updates the Aquarium’s collection of digital assets and content, such as the website.
  • Reports on the activities of the content team and the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Coordinates and plans marketing and communications campaigns in collaboration with the broader Marketing team, graphic designers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all digital tools and platforms used by the Marketing Team, and facilitates necessary training or procurement of new tools.
  • Acts as second for other Marketing Team members as required.
  • Supports the marketing Manager in the interpretation and implementation of the Aquarium and Foundation’s strategic objectives.

Reporting to: The Marketing Manager

Salary: To be discussed at interview

Starting date: 1 November 2024 or sooner.
