Fiery redfin Pseudobarbus phlegethon
This beautiful endemic species grows up to 8cm in length and is commonly found with the Clanwilliam redfin.
It prefers slower-flowing deeper pools.
During the breeding season (summer), the males’ fins turn scarlet.
