Flickr competition – We have winners!

By Stuart Buchanan / 27 February 2013

We recently ran a competition to find the best photo in our Flickr group. We had lots of great entries, and below are the final winners:

Winner 1

Quintin Gilman submitted this photo, which was taken in January. He manages to capture the majesty of the ragged-toothed sharks, and the glimmering bodies of the giant yellowtail, as they make their way past the large viewing window of the I&J Predator Exhibit. A couple of divers also provide some bubbles.

Winner 2

Our second winner was Andy Goldman, who submitted the following photo:

Andy told us the story behind this photo: “My daughter, Gabriella, learned to walk at the Two Oceans Aquarium. We started bringing her a couple of times a week, starting when she was six months old. When she decided it was time to start learning to walk, she insisted on bringing her walker to the Aquarium and for a few months was a regular sight, pushing her walker through the Aquarium two or three times a week!”

Well done to Andy and Quintin! They both won a pair of tickets to visit the Two Oceans Aquarium… and hopefully take more great photos!

Even though the competition is closed, we are always looking for visitors to contribute their snaps to our Flickr group. We may even feature your picture on our website! Check out the official Flickr group here.
